Little Tigers Tae Kwon Do

The Little Tigers program is a great introduction to Tae Kwon Do. Classes are 45 minutes and are comprised of games and exercises that teach balance, coordination, patience, discipline, and confidence.

Ages 4 to 8 years

At Jones Brothers Tae Kwon Do, our Little Tigers program is second to none. We teach our students using a basic philosophy of positive reinforcement to build Self Esteem, Confidence, Discipline, Positive Attitude and Values. Our unique method of training is fun and is designed to:

    The Tae Kwon Do Little Tigers program is martial arts skills development program that focuses on "8 essential skills": Focus, Memory, Balance, Coordination, Strength, Control, Attitude, and Awareness.

    The children learn martial arts skills in the context of these "8 essential skills". The program goes far beyond mere kicking and punching. Academic achievement, physical conditioning and peer interaction are emphasized as well as life skill development such as dealing with bullies and stranger awareness are taught.

    Youth Tae Kwon Do

    The Children's Program focuses on character & physical development, building initiative, leadership and self-defense through awareness and empowerment. Classes are 60 minutes in duration.

    Ages 8 to 13 years

    At Jones Brothers Tae Kwon Do, our children's programs are second to none. We realize that although the ability to defend oneself is important, there are many additional benefits to martial arts program. Our unique method of training is fun and is designed to:

    By embodying these principles in our children's classes, the Jones Brothers Tae Kwon Do team has made a strong commitment to today's youth. Our carefully designed programs for children of all ages will improve your child's performance in other sports as well as improving study habits and increasing overall concentration. In addition to this, by building self confidence, self-respect, and self-discipline, we are helping young people to deal with the many problems they face growing up in today's world, including drugs, peer pressure and gangs.

    Many parents are enrolling kids in martial-arts classes hoping they will learn discipline and self-defense and get a healthy workout. But, a new study suggests Western methods for teaching martial arts may make kids more aggressive than savvy. Reason: Many courses ignore the ancient philosophy and just teach body moves.

    Advice to parents: If you enroll kids in a martial-arts class, stick to tradition. Training the body without the mind may be a path to trouble.

    Adult Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do

    The Adult's program focuses on self-defense, fitness and fun. Classes are 60 minutes in duration and are taught later in the evening to allow those with a busy schedule easy access to classes.

    13 years and Older

    At Jones Brothers Tae Kwon Do, we believe that developing and maintaining a sound body and mind are critical to getting the most out of life. In our adult programs you will experience a unique approach to self-defense and exercise that benefits the body and the mind. To strengthen your body, you will begin with isometric and dynamic tension exercises. Flexibility will be enhanced through a gradual building process of safe and easy stretching techniques. You will find that the breathing and concentration exercises sharpen your senses and reflexes while allowing you to relax from the stress of daily life. This unique combination of using the power of the body and of the mind is the key to increased energy, self-discipline, and fitness for a longer happier life. These qualities are essential in recognizing and handling self-defense situations, as well as mental stress.

    We employ a complete, integrated system that will teach you the techniques you need to defend yourself intelligently in threatening situations.

    Learning practical self-defense techniques and enabling self-development are the main goals of the adult program. Each session focuses on two of the core areas of the curriculum, basics, sparring, self-defense and forms. Promotion tests are offered every 3 months and are announced in advance. In our traditional classes there is a clear team work ethic and emphasis on mutual respect as we help each other to grow in our martial arts training.
